I had great memories of times in this place, but I hadn't visited in over 10 years. Then I saw a news article that it's going to be demolished to build flats, so I had to make sure I got a final visit in. Inside and outside, not much has changed. It still looks quite rough, but I like that nostalgic old skool Desi Pub vibe. The beer selection is quite limited but the prices are very good. £3 a pint for most of them. We ordered a Desi Mega Grill. It had Chicken Tikka, Chicken Wings, Lamb Chops, Cod Fish Pakora, and Tandoori Fish. For our Curry, we went for Paneer Butter Masala. We ordered Butter Naan, Garlic Naan, and Battered Chilli Chips for our sides. The prices on the menu were very good already, and then we were given a further 20% off on top which is apparently a deal they do on Mondays to Thursdays. All of the above food came to a total of just around £35, which is unheard of in these times, so I wasn't expecting anything special. It took quite a while to come out, but for me that's a positive sign it was being cooked fresh and properly. When it did come out, I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. Genuinely everything was delicious, nothing was lacking. It's going to be a sad day when this place is gone. Price per person: £10–20

I genuinely don't no where to start!! I've been going into the desi 2 for very long time, the food is unbelievable, chefs are unbeatable, I request my curry sauce nice and thick, I am very fussy when it comes to my food and these guys at the desi 2 are unbelievable talent when making curries, I highly recommend this place, I genuinely don't go anywhere else for curry apart from the desi, Dee in the kitchen is bang on keep the good work up guys! Five stars from me Price per person: £20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Mixed Grill Platter, Mix Grill, Chicken Wings, Chilli Chips, Lamb Balti Butter Chicken and Chicken Tikka, Tandoori Chicken
