I think I may have insulted them when I asked for a latte because this is definitely a proper coffee place. But I have to say they made me a kind of latte and it was honestly the best coffee I've had in Hampshire. Gorgeous place really cute lovely little area to pop in and have a really really good coffee. Ive watched Deveroast grow from an idea into something genuinely special. Built from the ground up by legendary UK garage pioneer Pete Devereux, the place carries the same energy, creativity and attention to detail that defined his music career — and it shows in every cup. The coffee is exceptional. This is a business that takes absolutely no shortcuts. Every step of the process is treated with care and precision: from selecting high-quality raw beans, to the roasting process, to grinding each batch to perfection before brewing. The result is coffee that tastes as good as the passion behind it. What really makes Deveroast stand out though is the atmosphere. It manages to be relaxed and lively at the same time — the kind of place where everyone feels welcome, whether you’re a regular or just popping in for the first time. There’s a real sense of community; it feels less like a shop and more like being part of the crew. For transparency, I’m a friend of the founder and owner. But that’s exactly why I can say with confidence that every single customer receives the same level of care and service. The standards don’t change depending on who walks through the door — everyone gets the full Deveroast experience.
