On the way home I picked up ribs for the family. They were fast nice and even gave me some sauce for the ribs. When I got home the ribs were dry hard and uneatable. Why send me home to a hungry house with shoe leather? Its not like I could eat bones. The ribs were dried out. It made me sad. And what do we eat now? We dipped white bread in the bbq sauce and sucked on the dried bones. Yum. I felt like a vulture chewing on a half eaten carcus. And I hate there is no drive thru at this location.
First off, it's Dickey's and a chain, so you have to go in with that in mind. Having said that, the staff there is great and always inviting. This location is convenient for me, as it's right down the street. Honestly, if I had other choices and wasn't in a rush at lunch, I'd probably go to a more BBQ (one off) focused place. Not saying the food is bad here, but when you cannot smell the smoke, no sign of a smoker in sight and located in a strip mall, it's hard to call it "real" BBQ. I will give this place 3 stars for consistency and that the staff is great. Keep up the good work.
Had A First-Time At Dickey's Barbecue Pit. Ate The Three Plate Meal & A Spicy Cheddar Sausage Sandwich With Two Times Tommy! They Did Not Serve Alcohol So I Am BYOBed It. Loving Me Some Texas BBQ!
