This "Koeksister Tannie en Oom" consists of "Die Tannie wat die koeksisters bak (sy is by die huis)" and "Die Koeksister Oom - hy kom verkoop die koeksisters".. Following the google maps location here, you will mostly find the Oom sitting in his car reading books as he waits on customers to come to him, his car is usually parked under a tree and there is ample parking for vehicles going into Meyerton or coming out of Meyerton to pull off to either side of the road and go to his little table with the infamous cooler box placed on top of it. The Oom has a recognizable burn from the sun and the red burn on his skin shows one that he endears the heat of the sun to offer customers his delicious "Koeksisters", my father loves "koeksisters" and he doesn't eat just anyone's he is very selective and only accepts those which reminds him of what his mother was capable of making. Simply put these "Koeksisters" taste just like those my Grandmother could make and the consistency is just as unique with the crisp texture and juiciness that melts into your mouth. He is well known around Meyerton and someone I truly suggest to those who have not yet had the opportunity to taste his "Koeksisters" I assure you, you will find it worth the drive to make a trip for buying your next batch of "Koeksisters"
