Chanced upon Din's off-peak hours and decided to try it without combing through the reviews first. The Wonton Noodle Set (Choice of Noodle/Rice + Fried Xiao Long Bao with wings + Drink Bar), Steamed Xiao Long Bao, Steamed Shrimp Dumplings and Drink Bar were served hot and tasted decent; not unpalatable as mentioned in some reviews. Interestingly, the baked XLB with a lacy, crispy "wing" delivered a delightful contrast of a soft, pillowy top and a crunchy, flavorful bottom. Oh yes, cut the wing with a pizza cutter provided. Regardless baked or steamed, the bite-sized XLB's chewy texture and oozing meat juices with a 'lil black vinegar and/or chilli oil made 'em delicious Din's operates as a fast-casual spot, manned by 3 staff members on the day of visit. Customers order & pay @counter, get self-seated, collect order @pickup counter upon sounding of buzzer and bus the table before exiting; basically no table service. That said, the mid-sized dining space with ample comfortable seating is good for casual meals in a relaxed setting; at least not as crowded or noisy as dining in a food court. Its interior is a blend of Taiwanese-inspired traditional and modern elements such as dark & light grey and red color schemes, wood furnishing, Traditional Chinese characters on menu and wall, bamboo steamers, and illustration reflecting its signature food From our dine-in experience, we personally found the location of drink bar and condiment area awkward and inconvenient. The aisle is narrow and alrather cramped (imagine on busy days). Also, without clear verbal advice or text signage in common languages to guide expectations, customers (esp new to the store) end up looking left, right and center for water, saucers and dipping sauces (soy sauce, vinegar and chilli oil etc.) or failing to enjoy the food after futile attempt.
