Genuinely surprised how bad this bbq was, some of the driest and least flavored ribs and brisket I’ve ever had, really disappointing for an Austin spot. The worst part is this plate was $50. They’re charging premium bbq prices for an incredibly lackluster product. Just the carrots alone were $7. Ribs were tough and not tender. Look at how dry the brisket is, everything seems like it was smoked on far too high of heat. There are so many better bbq spots in Austin, I can’t belive I spent $50 this disappointing plate. Had this place on the radar for our trip from the UK to eat BBQ round Texas. Glad we made the stop as the brewery this place is located in was cool and great for the kids whilst we ate. No line when we arrived and most things still on the menu bar the ribs. Chicken was super juicy and flavourful, pulled pork was very good, brisket seemed to be cut with the grain but was still tender. Overall food was very good and glad we stopped. Staff not the best, very disinterested and lack of customer service. Seemed annoyed I wanted to add peanuts, which had I known there was a small sample of on the platter, I would not have ordered a whole pot. Would go back again if we were passing just to try the ribs we missed. Price per person: $30–40 Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

Finally had a chance to visit Distant Relatives trailer at Meanwhile Brewing after multiple friends recommending it. I’m glad I went and will definitely be back! I got the brisket sandwich and the sausage mac n cheese. I love the West and South African spices in the food. Food comes out quickly. I’m sure it gets quite busy on weekends. Thanks guys!
