ORDERED: Disuko Setto ($55.00pp) Wagyu tataki: seared wagyu, yuzu kosho cream, ponzu, potato crisp Age-maki: salmon, spicy miso, avocado, nori dust Spicy crab udon: udon, spanner crab, bonito, crispy chilli, egg Chicken nanban: egg tartare, tomato, cabbage Fries: served with kewpie may This cost $69.00pp between two people (and included a mocktail each). REVIEW: 1. Age-maki: I liked how the sushi was fried and its general construction. Unique and a very fun entree to have. 2. Chicken nanban: crispy, generous servings. Typically I prefer my nanban sauce on the side, but it seemed to be on the salad. 3. Spicy crab udon: I really liked the consistency of the udon noodles! The flavour was a bit too salty though. 4. The portions were generous. We (sadly) couldn't finish off all the chips! Although there were good parts of the meal, I found the food overall to be ok. There was no dish that stayed memorable. Just a good feed. The atmosphere is moody and I loved the detail of the vinyl records in the lift on the way up. Price per person: A$60–80 Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4

Hey Jasmine, we really appreciate you taking the time to break down your experience with the Disuko Setto. It’s awesome to hear you enjoyed the construction of the Age-maki and the consistency of our udon noodles. We’re sorry to hear the seasoning on the crab udon was a bit heavy-handed for your taste, and we’ll definitely look into that with our chefs. While we're glad you left full and enjoyed the "moody" vibes and the lift aesthetic, we’re always aiming for "memorable," so we’ll keep working hard to elevate the experience. We'd love to have you back to explore more of the menu!

I visited to celebrate my family's birthday. After having a few cocktails on the rooftop, I enjoyed a meal inside the restaurant. The atmosphere, reminiscent of Japanese nightclubs from the 70s and 80s, was very interesting. I was born in the 90s, but I feel like I've somehow returned to that era, haha. The cocktail names were also interesting, and I ended up drinking too much. My highlights were SEASONAL PICKLES and Sailor Moon. Next time, I'd like to visit with friends or fiancés. Hey Daiki, Happy birthday to your family member! We are so happy you loved the 70s/80s "Disco Japanese" vibes and had a fun time exploring our cocktail list. It’s awesome that the Sailor Moon and Seasonal Pickles were your top picks. Whether you’re coming back with friends or your fiancé, we look forward to seeing you under the disco balls again soon!

Tried Disuko recently and had a pretty good experience overall. The food was a bit mixed, but there were some highlights the Wagyu tataki was good, and the prawns were fresh (though my partner found them slightly fishy). The spicy udon was decent (slightly salty), and the kare fries were just a little salty for my taste. We did 55PP. I think it’s reasonable (especially in this economy) The staff were friendly and helpful, and the place has a really nice vibe. Overall, a pleasant spot with some great dishes. Hi Ash, It's great to hear you had a pleasant time and that the team looked after you well. I appreciate the honest notes on the prawns and the salt levels; it’s exactly the kind of detail we need to keep things consistent. Really happy the Wagyu stood out and that the overall experience felt like a win for the price.
