Frustrating experience and disappointing service! We are loyal customers of Dom da Carne and always take friends from other states or countries to visit the restaurant, which has always had good service and is easy to access. However, our last visit left a lot to be desired and erased the good experiences we already had. We ordered a portion and a half of two meats to ensure everyone could enjoy it. From the beginning, the service was cold, with a new waiter who, in addition to not being friendly, served a minimal amount of meat. When I asked for the picanha to have more roasted fat, the meat came back burnt, and despite signaling, the next round also came with less meat than expected. To our surprise, the waiter abruptly announced that he was finished, leaving our guests dissatisfied. The bill came to more than 600 reais and the feeling was that what we ate didn't even represent half of that. I reported the incident to the steakhouse as soon as I got home so as not to cause discomfort in front of the guests. However, the after-service was disappointing. The attendant suggested that I should have complained at the time, without considering the embarrassment it would be for me and my guests. Even so, she promised to investigate and return with an answer, which never happened. A week later, when I called to ask about the return, the same attendant, with a passive-aggressive stance, insisted that the service was normal and correct, without any consideration for my experience or suggestion that something could have gone wrong. In short, I was extremely dissatisfied with the lack of respect and the uncompromising defense of service, even admitting that the grill was new. I feel that the team lacked empathy and consideration in dealing with the situation. We will no longer step on Dom da Carne, unless there is an adequate retraction, because from something that was rated 8, today the rating is 1.5. Unfortunately, the steakhouse that was once a reference, has now become the “Gift of Disappointment”. What the man at the entrance and parking lot makes an effort to attract customers, he does very well, by the way, goes down the drain when he comes across people from customer service. UPDATE: It is impressive how the restaurant's response addresses issues that were not even present on the day, even denying the attendant who was there. I feel like this answer is nothing more than an attempt to ‘stuff the sausage’. I know the staff at the house well, and one of the best is a man from Piauí who always served us. Unfortunately, he was not in our area this time, and they sent two other attendants who took turns providing assistance. In any case, what I receive are empty justifications and, at no point, was I given credit for my observations of what really happened. The restaurant insists on a narrative that they have not even witnessed or can confirm. And if they were so aware of the situation, why didn't they call me sooner to resolve the issue? This lack of interest in resolving what happened is what disappoints me the most. Honestly, the restaurant is implying that my perception is not valid, and that is unacceptable. I deeply regret having supported this establishment for so long, including during the pandemic. Ultimately, I feel like Dom da Carne is more concerned with defending the indefensible than actually considering the customers' experience.
