Food was good and fresh. Nice atmosphere, good service. A little pricier than other Mexican restaurants, but I would recommend it. I really like their menu, and the food came fast! Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20

Let's begin with the fact that this place was previously known as "Pancho Villa", an additional location of the "Pancho Villa" in town.  Then both locations suddenly closed for a couple of months, & the town location reopened - still as "Pancho Villa" - while this location reopened as "Don Eladio's Cantina".  (Other "Pancho Villa" locations in the area also closed & reopened as "Don Eladio's Cantina".)  A little research finds that all of these locations are still owned & operated by the exact same people who have owned & operated "Pancho Villa" for the eternity it's been in existence.   Knowing the above in advance, & having been sorely disappointed with our one & only "Pancho Villa" experience 15 or more years ago (so bad that we never returned), I don't know what possessed us to believe that this new incarnation by the same people would be worth the time & money.  I guess we're both optimists at heart - at least food-wise, lol. We walked in at 8:20 p.m. to a rather dark/dim place; a couple of people were sitting at the bar, & there were 3-4 other tables filled.  It took about 10 minutes for an employee to show his face & show us to a table. Menus, warm tortilla chips, a thin/watery red salsa, & 2 waters were brought right away. We started off with two 16-oz. "House Margaritas" ($6.25 ea.).  Usually our Margaritas cost more than our entrees at Mexican restaurants, so we were surprised at the low price, but one taste had us realize that the 75% ice & lack of strength obviously had something to do with that. For entrees, I ordered their version of "Enchiladas Verdes" ($11.25), described as "Three cheese and onion enchiladas topped with spicy green salsa. Served with rice and beans".  I thought "cheese & onion" was rather an unusual filling, but I went with it.  Portion size was more than decent & the "spicy green salsa" sauce was indeed spicy, which I liked.  Rice & beans, however, were very bland, & worst of all - the center thirds of all 3 of the enchiladas were cold & congealed, so obviously not enough time spent in the oven or microwave. Husband ordered the "Enchiladas Monterey" ($11.25), described as "Three enchiladas filled with your choice of chicken or ground beef. Topped with cheese sauce and served with rice and beans".  Husband chose chicken, & while the shredded white meat was very moist & tender, it didn't seem to have any seasoning, & the whole dish - enchiladas, rice, & beans - again was very bland.  And unfortunately the only condiments on the table were regular salt & pepper shakers - no hot pepper sauce to be seen anywhere. Service was friendly, & although our waitress seemed a bit confused while taking our order, she seemed young & may have been new, so we didn't hold that against her. Bottom Line:  Bill after tax but before tip came to $38.96, which of course is a bargain in this day & age of pricey restaurant dining.  But that said, it just didn't cut it.  I don't know why it seems to be so difficult for so many places to get decent Mexican or Tex-Mex cuisine right, but I'd be willing to pay more for higher quality, better executed food/beverages.  This was just a waste.  Won't be back.
