Really cool vibe, feels cozy and intimate, music is good, if only a bit too loud. Cocktails are good but rather uninspired (you cannot ask for classic cocktails, only the limited selection from the menu). Best to go with people you can enjoy the company without talking Edit: After thinking it over, decreasing my review slightly since there is virtually no service (everything is done through QR code) and the person that sat us down didn't mention the minimum spend of TWD 500 per person so we were forced to get an additional round of drink when we were ready to leave. Reading here it's rather common. So yeah, cool ambiance, good music, too loud, limited menu, cocktails meh, no service, extra hidden charges I really hope they see the feedback and make some changes as the place has potential but as is, it's a bit of a let down Price per person: NT$600–800 Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 5

Unfortunately have to ring in a bad review for Double Check, a bar I previously had good experiences at. 2 Objectively Bad Points, and one subjective point. * 500 NTD per person minimum was mentioned only after our first drinks were done, when we were planning to leave. I understand minimums, just let us know before we order. Really unpleasant to be about to leave and told essentially you can’t go till you order another round. * The bar seems to be fully stocked, but you’re limited to the items on the menu. It’s very hard to recommend a bar that won’t take orders outside of their menu. Now, for a subjective point * I understand it’s convenient to use QR codes to order, especially if you’re not offering any custom orders. But I find it very impersonal, not what I’m looking for in a bar experience Overall, just disappointed because I like the vibe and the sound system at Double Check, but I won’t be going back any time soon. Price per person: NT$400–600 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3
