Es un restaurante muy, muy exquisito, la comida nos encantó, el servicio que prestan es de excelencia, los meseros son cordiales y preocupados, lo recomiendo mucho.

It was JUST okay, extremely overpriced. We all got the fresh catch grouper blackened and broiled and a tuna bowl. It was just okay, there was nothing different or special about it that stood out flavor wise in any way, and for $30 a plate I would have liked to see some thought put into presentation. We were mainly disappointed, bc the only reason we chose Down the Hatch over Off The Wall or Outriggers was to get my fish loving visiting father grouper for the first time in his life and his $30 grouper fillet was two thin end pieces of fillets put together. I could tell he was disappointed and I was disappointed I failed in showing him a solid florida fish dinner. We waited a long time (25/30) minutes after getting the salads until we saw our entrées, the potatoes were dry overdone lukewarm little pucks (the butter never melted a bit on them), it seemed like it was probably sitting under the warmer for quite some time. The staff and our waitress were very nice, the location is beautiful, however the food was overpriced and petty disappointing. I only gave 1 stars instead of 2, bc of the scrap fillet we got compared to how much we payed :/. (side note: my husband and I have been living in, sailing, and fishing the state of Florida for almost 2 decades, we have caught, filled, bought, ate, every type of Florida fish. This review is based on A LOT of experience with fresh fish, it's quality, and how much it's perceived value is. We also saw many "local/floridian" looking groups seated, order, and get their food of the same types of orders a long time before we received ours, and it really felt like we were put in the back burner, bc my parents were OBVIOUS yankees. I've worked in many restaurants in florida and I know how this goes :/.) (We were seated next to the kitchen door and the restaurant was dead slow.)
