Honestly one of the worst hot pot experiences I’ve had. Spent $60 on takeaway and asked for an extra sauce container — something that’s a basic part of the hot pot experience. Instead, they gave us one tiny “complimentary” container (about 25ml) to share between two people. When I asked to buy a larger container, I was told it would cost $10 for an EMPTY container. That’s not just unreasonable, it’s ridiculous. When you dine in, you’re allowed to mix sauces freely, so clearly this is just poor service when it comes to takeaway. I explained I couldn’t just add sauce into the main bowl because I was sharing with younger siblings who can’t handle spice, but the staff kept pushing that as the only option. The whole interaction was frustrating and felt dismissive. It got worse when I got home. I ordered a mild broth, but nearly half the container was just oil — I’m not exaggerating when I say around 40% of what I paid for was inedible. I had to scoop it out myself. For the price, the service and quality were both unacceptable. There are plenty of hot pot places that actually understand customer experience — this is not one of them. The food is delicious, but when you go, be careful not to get carried away putting too much on your plate, haha. My friend had to pay $95 for just one bowl of soup—it's crazy! So you have to be very careful about what you put on it and how much, because the price is by weight. We didn't realize that until we paid, haha. Dragon Hot Pot Point Cook is a sizeable restaurant with plenty of seating. Came with the expected wide range of ingredients you expect from Dragon Hot Pot restaurants. Service was friendly and efficient. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
