We visited The Drover early on a Thursday evening and the place was already very busy. We were told the wait would be about 35–45 minutes, and the host politely suggested we have a drink at the bar while we waited. The bartender was attentive and the drinks were very good. When our table was ready, the host came over and brought us to our seats. The service was a little more relaxed than what you might expect at a traditional fine-dining steakhouse, but honestly, it worked well and seemed to fit the Omaha atmosphere. Service remained attentive throughout the meal. The salad bar was excellent, and the cold plates were a very nice touch. The steaks were cooked exactly as they should have been and fully met expectations for a steakhouse in Omaha. The meat was prepared properly, the quality was excellent, and the meal was very satisfying overall. Alcohol prices were right in line with what I expected, and dessert was excellent as well. You can definitely see why The Drover has become such a local stronghold for people in Omaha looking for a good steak. The food was excellent, the service was excellent, and I really enjoyed the overall experience. I’m glad I chose The Drover for my first Omaha steakhouse experience. The next time I’m in Omaha, I will definitely be back. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Price per person: $90–100
