Make sure to ask for the secret sauce if you’re getting the dumplings, made by Jaime. My wife and I are so glad we did! He mentioned it when we were ordering the Pork Dumplings, and it was incredible. It goes perfectly with the pork and the seafood dumplings. We loved it so much we ordered a second round. Jaime was great to chat with and the service overall was top-notch. We also tried the BBQ Pork Bao and the Pork XLB, everything was delicious. Thanks, Jaime, we’ll definitely be back! I’m extremely disappointed with our recent visit to Dumpling Time in Berkeley. We ordered Pork Xiao Long Bao, and when we opened them, the pork filling inside was clearly undercooked — still pink and raw in the center. This is absolutely unacceptable, especially when serving pork. Undercooked meat is a serious food safety issue and can be dangerous, particularly for children. We ordered the take out for the kids, and it’s frightening to think what could have happened if they had eaten the dumplings without us checking first. Serving undercooked pork is not just a small mistake — it’s a major health risk. Overall, it was a horrible experience. We expected much better in terms of food safety and quality control. The restaurant needs to take this issue seriously to ensure no other families are put at risk. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20 Food: 1
