The food is great there a bit pricey but your definitely paying for it’s worth, great flavour, great portions, good for a movie night or when you can’t be bothered making dinner! Not a fan. Ordered a teriyaki chicken bento box with fried rice and got a box of overcooked fried chicken, no sauce, and plain rice. Also ordered Phad Thai, which was too salty, not sour and overcooked. Won't be back. Price per person: $20–40 Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 2

Very, very disappointed. When trying a new Chinese restaurant, I always start with the basics. The special fried rice — a staple, a safe bet, the dependable dish that sets the tone for the rest of the menu. But Hong Kong BBQ managed to fail at the most fundamental level. What should’ve been a savoury, satisfying mix of fluffy rice, well-cooked proteins, and balanced seasoning arrived as a bland, , dry, god awful tasting, greasy disappointment. The rice was either overcooked or underdone — hard to tell with the amount of oil drowning it. The ingredients? Sparse, tired-looking, and an overbearing charred, smoky wok flavour that's ruined the dish. I believe in second chances, and I always try a place twice to be fair. But if you can’t get fried rice right, the cornerstone of Chinese takeaway, then it’s not a great sign for the rest of the menu. Sorry Hong Kong Hong Kong BBQ — if this is your standard, I won’t be back for round two. Update: If you check the reply to my review, there was no acceptance of their poor food or an apology. All I got was Hong Kong Hong Kong BBQ is not them. So why are they replying to the review from the same business address of 1 Robinson Road Rockingham trading as EANDZHOTWOK.COM.AU ? Might be time to call the Australian Tax Office to inform them you are trading under several names? Food: 1 Service: 3 Service: Takeaway Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $1–20
