Burgers are absolutely tiny and not even particularly good. 2oz patties?! So thin the smashing just makes it completely dry. Even the add-on bacon was tiny. Fries were generic and flavorless crinkle cuts. Nothing here to justify an over $20 meal. Not at all what I was expecting based on the reviews. As noted in our prior response, our menu clearly outlines that our burgers are smash burger style with thinner patties. Requesting modifications like extra crispy and no burger sauce will naturally change the end result, as that is not how they’re intended to be served. We also accommodated changes after the order was placed. The price referenced in your review is incorrect—our Chuckanut burgers are priced at $15.50; with bacon, $17.50, not over $20. We’re very clear about what we offer so expectations match the experience. We stand behind our food, but it won’t be everyone’s preference.

The food is okay. My kid liked the grilled cheese but my husband and I weren't impressed. The gravy was bland and burger patties were really thin. I wish the fries came seasoned. The couple at the table next to use had some fantastic looking waffles so maybe those were good. Since we dont live close we wont go out of our way to come back here. The diner is very small with only 6 tables inside and 2 picnic tables out front. The building itself is super cute and reminds me of something that was probably around in the 1920's. Thanks for stopping in and sharing your thoughts. Our burgers are smash burger–style, so the thinner patties are intentional (and noted clearly on the menu)—that crispy edge is kind of the whole point. Totally understand that style isn’t for everyone, especially if you were expecting a thicker, more traditional-style burger. We keep our fries unseasoned so guests can season them to their own taste—there’s a variety available at the tables. Sorry to hear the gravy didn’t land for you. We make ours from scratch rather than using pre-made mixes, which a lot of our regulars really appreciate—but we know tastes can vary. Glad your kid enjoyed the grilled cheese, and we appreciate the kind words about our space.

Went during the google maps posted hours today (12pm) but it was closed. The sign on the door said "Ho rs: Thur - Fr 2-3, Sat - Sun 8-2". Not sure if it was supposed to be really 2-3 or if the 1 fell off of 12-3 but unfortunately couldn't enjoy one of their burgers.

Thanks for stopping by and for pointing this out. You’re right, the door sign was unclear at the time, and we’ve since fixed it. Our hours are currently limited as we’ve been navigating some significant health challenges—we recommend checking our social media pages for the most up-to-date info before heading out.
