Never in my life have I driven gotten back into my car and driven BACK for more food. But first time for everything. These empanadas are stuffed with filling, and the Ají salsa is the perfect complement to the crispy fried outside. The Colombianita and chicken are my favorite. 5+ El Pilon’s #1 fan! We’re a GF, celiac friendly home. So glad to have found more GF options within walking distance from my home. El Pilon is behind a gas station and doesn’t appear to have a spot to eat (I may have missed the tables?) so it’s take out only. But, hot damn, it’s exceptionally good take out. They were sold out of the empanadas by Sunday night but the arepas were so good. We ordered a beef and a chicken and split them- and I kept going between the 2 because they were so flavorful I couldn’t choose a favorite. The sweet plantains were amazing and I found myself licking the tin. The guy working the window was just as friendly as could be. I’ll be back soon for an empanada. I wanna give 10 stars to this place but is not possible! This is the first time tried and everything was amazing Beef empanadas, Yuca fries, pan de bones, milky passion fruit juice, this last one was a game changer I never had something like that before, this place is highly recommended!!
