Had a 6pm reservation on a Saturday night — one would think that would be a normal time. There was maybe one other table, but somehow they were out of *literally* half the menu: no ribs, no burgers, no GRILLED CHEESE. The service was absurdly slow. There was zero communication and we had to literally hunt down someone to find out where our food was. We didn’t even get our appetizer until 7:10. We didn’t get water refills until 7:15. The food we got was not worth the wait. We did get the “last burger” but it had been intended for another table who apparently left because they got tired of waiting. So the burger was dry and overcooked. Everything was oversalted. The tortillas felt like they came directly out of the package without even being warmed or anything. Being understaffed or underprepared happens. Everyone has a bad night. If anyone had kept us in the loop instead of in the dark, it would’ve gone a long way. Price per person: $20–30 Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 4

We visited Elevated Sol when the bar was open but the kitchen was closed for the night. Even so, we had a wonderful time chatting with Yvonne and Henry, two incredibly sweet and passionate people. They clearly love creating a warm, welcoming experience for their guests. They even let us sample some empanadas and plantains, which were absolutely delicious. My wife and I truly enjoyed ourselves. The cocktails were excellent, the food was amazing, and the atmosphere is unique, cozy, and classy. We’re looking forward to coming back. Meal type: Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
