Okay, I seriously don’t understand how this cocktail bar got ranked No. 81 on North America’s 50 Best Bars list. I ordered this Minus -196 cocktail because I was expecting some kind of fancy drink, and it turned out to literally just be a canned vodka seltzer taken straight out of the fridge for $18!!! I looked it up online and it’s only around $3 a can. I had no idea a cocktail bar could just serve you a canned drink like that and call it a cocktail. And the bartender didn’t even say a word about it when I ordered Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

I made a reservation here for a party of 10 to celebrate getting engaged. This was done 1 month before the date of the reservation and I made sure this was ok with the event manager. Everything was all set until the week before my reservation I get a call saying they are closed for a private event. I was left with the option of changing my 6:30 reservation to 9:00 or changing my reservation at a cocktail bar to another restaurant they own. I had no interest at this point in giving them my business and was very disappointed with how they handled canceling my reservation. Service: 1

I’ve been coming to Equal Measure with my partner since they opened. They typically have the most exciting and creative cocktails you’ve ever had, but recently they downsized their menu and to us, it really affected our experience. What we thought were the very best cocktails are gone, so we sampled 4 new ones. The new ones did not feel like Equal Measure at all - they felt unbalanced and for once, a bit difficult to drink. We also got three dishes - one was forgotten about (later comped which was kind). One of the other dishes we got was mozzarella sticks, and the mozzarella sticks came empty without cheese??? We asked the waiter if it was normal and they immediately took them back to the kitchen. When they came back, they legitimately tasted better without the cheese. Zero seasoning. The Iberico chips were sad (11$ on the menu but they cost 3$ at the store and you got a funky mayo on the side), not worth it. All in all, Equal Measure does not seem like what it did a year ago, which is the only reason I’m leaving this review. Please please go back to how you were. It feels like a regular Fenway bar now, rather than the special experience it once was Price per person: $90–100 Food: 2 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
