Came in on our way back from visiting grandma at the hospital in Chula Vista. She probably isn't going to make it through the end of the week. She's 98 years old so she's had a good, long life. It was a bitter sweet day; being with family again, talking to grandma one last time, just taking time to love and care for each other. So on the way home, my wife decided to surprise me and my daughters with a sweet treat. What a wonderful suite of memories today has provided. The summer farm snow cake literally reminded us of summer. Cool, refreshing, and symphonic on the tongue. The fried calamari, medium spice with umami sauce is habit forming. Just spicy enough to feel a burn, but with so much flavor you cannot help eating more. The green matcha red bean cake might have been the winner for me. The perfect balance of earthy and sweet flavors was an unexpected delight. Overall... I'm probably not gonna see my grandma again until I get to heaven, but that pain is a bit more bearable knowing that I can still come to Ever After Tearoom & Eatery whenever I want to enjoy great food and teas of generous portions, at a very reasonable price, with friendly and personable service

Cute place. Got their dessert, it's nice and refreshing. Gets really loud on a crowded weekend. Would be nice if they gave everyone a pager while waiting for their food, rather than the workers shouting names. Super annoyed!
