Es una pena, pero aquí la comida no merece esos normales precios, tal y como afirman sus visitantes. Este lugar, con su acogedora atmósfera, puede ser un buen sitio para cenar durante el camino. Played here on Saturday 14th June with a small society, 27 holes. We have been coming here on a regular basis over the past 8 years or so but after Saturdays experience it will be our last. The 9 hole course has been changed, for the worse in my opinion, having to incorporate the holes which were on the far side of the driving range, this has made the 9 hole course a lot shorter than it was with considerably more Par 3 holes. The 18 hole course remains unchanged but some of the greens were in poor condition not up to their usual standard. On arrival at the club we were hoping to have breakfast as we had done on previous years but all that was available were Sausage Baps or Bacon Baps already prepared and wrapped in foil stored in a hot cabinet on the bar no other hot food. There was worse to come having finished our morning 9 holes we'd planned to have lunch before playing 18 in the afternoon only to discover there was no hot food being served no menus on the tables, it was unbelievable, a busy golf club not serving food ? We packed our clubs away and headed to a nearby pub (The Spotted Cow if you find yourself in the same situation) they seemed very happy to serve us and we enjoyed good food and a few drinks. After we had played our afternoon round we returned to the "Clubhouse" for a drink only to be told whilst waiting for our drinks that " we will be closing in 30 minutes" it was 6.30 on a Saturday in the middle of Summer. we drank our drinks and left. The day cost £46 and for the experience we had I think is overpriced, at no point were we told about the above issues when we booked, sorry but we won`t be returning.
