The Farina restaurant seems to have opened recently. But honestly I think they should have delayed the opening a little while longer until they had a few things sorted out. Located on Polonă Street, it is a nice place, with a generous yard. Which, unfortunately, they completely paved over... They have a lot of trees, I think they could have played around with some lights in them, to make it look better at night (well, that's just a personal preference, maybe they have other ideas or tastes). We sat in the yard in the evening and unfortunately they didn't have any small lamps or candles or anything to give off a little light on the tables. Instead, they had them on the tables inside, where no one was sitting. The kitchen is open, if you sit inside you can see what and how everything is being cooked. Which is brave and interesting. But here's where the problem starts... The food was disappointingly bad... We were told that all the pasta is made in-house. Which sounded great. Although they have very few dishes, we were warned from the very beginning that they didn't have many available. That is, out of 11 types of pasta, there were about 5 available (like). Given that there didn't seem to be too many people, on the contrary. Well, it can happen, that's life. We ordered Spaghetti with slow-cooked tomato sauce. Total disappointment. It actually looked like spaghetti with canned sauce (maybe it wasn't), but because of the taste, bland, without any personal touch. Which is why we asked at one point for some basil or oregano, dried or green, but we were told that they didn't have any... Which seems incredible for a restaurant that claims to be Italian. We also ordered Fettuccine with nduja, lemon and mascarpone. I ordered it precisely because I had never tried such a combination before, they weren't necessarily to my taste. The problem is that the pasta was not or did not look like fettuccine at all (I even looked it up on the internet, I said maybe I don't know what it looks like), it actually looked like other normal spaghetti. The explanation was that they are made in-house and that they make them a little thinner. Which would have been relatively ok, except that the original fettuccine are flat, kind of like tagliatelle, while what I had on my plate was round. There was actually no difference between the two pasta portions ordered, although they should have been different. Last but not least, for the first time in my life I ate pasta from small plates, like those for appetizers. I'm sorry that I didn't think to take a picture close to an object next to the plates so that you could see a reference point, so you could realize how small the plates were. There were neither large plates, nor those slightly deeper ones, special for pasta. The staff was friendly, everything seemed clean, including the bathroom. In short, a bit disappointing, they still have a lot of work to do. With a little attention to detail, it could become an interesting place in time. Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3 Price per person: lei 60–80 Vegetarian options: There are a few options available Dietary restrictions: Not sure, you'd have to ask them Parking space: Somewhat difficult to find parking Parking options: Paid street parking Kid-friendliness: Apparently yes Wheelchair accessibility: Definitely
