The first time we visited, we waited 14 minutes to be served for carvery and after that, the meat was dry and the veg was drier, along with a lack of mash potato. No one asked how our food was either.
We visited again today and the toilets were disgusting, toilet paper on the floor and the floors and accessories were dirty.
We were charged £1.25 for an extra Yorkshire pudding and pigs in blankets, though we noticed a sign by the carvery saying it should’ve only been £1. Being a Sunday, my guess is that it was extra despite it saying nowhere about it if this was the case. The gravy was terrible - the sign states that it was supposed to be thick gravy but I’ve had thicker water.
We asked twice for no ice in the drinks when ordering but they still came with ice.
The tables were dirty and I stuck to our table more than I stick to the carpet in Wetherspoons.
The majority of staff seemed like robots - no smiles, no talking and no attention with quite an unwelcoming atmosphere.
When visiting other branches of Farmhouse Inns, we religiously have cake after but on this occasion, I was keen to get out as quickly as possible having only eaten half of my carvery and starting to feel quite queasy.
Conclusively, haven given you another chance and being disappointed on both occasions, we will stick to Larchwood Farm in Kidderminster in future and not be coming back to Bluebell Farm.
