The reason I haven't tried any dishes because I am bit fuzzy when it comes to Indian Food sold in Indian restaurants. When I go to Indian restaurants or takeaways I look at the photos, photos speak thousands of words. The laminated photos on the wall don't really bring anything to my tastebuds. Maybe they should invest in HD 40" display just like the one in Kati Grill on K'rd.
Food: 1.5/5, parathas are really authentic but they are very thin and small for the price of $2, I think it's really bit of rip off.
I once bought their Mango Pickle, I would rather not recommend anyone to buy their mango pickle, it's over spiced and have too much vegetables and it over powered the taste of rice. I have to throw away the rest of the pickle in the bin.
Samosas tastes good though, just too much turmeric and very small for the price of $3. Don't be fool by the photograph on the wall. You can buy really good samosas for half price and much bigger at Sandringham or the convenience store at the corner of Wakefield St and Symonds St.
Service: 1/5, I would say Just OK, as the person I think he is the owner, is over friendly. Shows no empathy to the customers. There are no serviettes on the table,
Ambience: 2/5, Unnecessary, irritating loud Indian Bhajans will spoiled the experience of having meals in the restaurant, just prefer to do takeaway.
If you are looking for really authentic Indian Vegetarian food, Rasoi on K'rd is really good.
Overall Rating: 2.5 and won't recommend to any of my friends. They seriously need to do lots of improvement.
For a start: stop playing bhajans and improve your tone of taking orders.
I order samosa and the guy serve me the samosa with only filling of potato with little bit of salt and red chilly that was test less. i told him to change it and i ask him that i am also working in restaurant he directly told me in a rudely manner that then why you came here you should go there. There customer service is so bad and the food is also so bad..
I would not going to recommend this place to any body else.
