The pizza here is great, but I had to wait 5 minutes just for someone to take my order. It wasn’t even very busy, but they didn’t even have all 6 pizzas out in their display window, so I had to specifically ask if they had pepperoni. Once I sat down they started playing the absolute worst screamo death metal I’ve ever heard. I highly recommend their pizza, but they need to get their act together and improve a lot before I can say anything good about their service or atmosphere. Price per person: $1–10 Food: 5 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2

I was impressed by Fast Times. While it wasn't an incredible pizza like a Kens or a Scotties, I found myself going back for a 3rd slice anyway. The dough was well made, if a little overcooked. But I'm not one to complain about that, overcooked is far preferable to undercooked, and the rest of the pizza was perfectly cooked. The crust itself was tougher than I expected, but tasty. We got the pepperoni and our vegan friends got the never say die. We both really enjoyed the pies and appreciated the opening special (two pies for 45 instead of the regular 52). It really reminded me of pizza I used to eat as a kid and for that, it gets 5 stars. In a sea of great pizza in Portland I don't know that Fast Times can stand at the top, but it absolutely deserves a place. The soft serve machine was down but will absolutely be returning to try that as well.
