Vas a llevarte un buen recuerdo de este restaurante, puesto que es bien conocido por su gran servicio y su amable personal, siempre dispuesto a ayudar. Sus precios bajos son una de esas cosas que se deben resaltar al hablar de Fatso’s Riverside. Su silenciosa atmósfera ha sido muy destacada por sus clientes. Pero usuarios de Facebook han visitado este lugar y lo han valorado por debajo de la media.

I booked a table at Fatso’s Riverside yesterday (5th August) for my daughter’s 10th birthday meal.
After arriving and waiting to be seated we were finally greeted by two very unimpressed looking women. This wasn’t the greatest welcome and we were not encouraged to sanitise our hands, in fact it was a very lacklustre welcome.
We were then seated next to another family when all the front of the restaurant was empty, I did wonder at the time why we were seated in a booth directly next to another family. Unless of course social distancing didn’t apply to us!
I am a mother of two autistic children; my daughter has severe autism and this was the first time we had been out since lockdown. She did become overwhelmed and she did have a meltdown, but this is understandable. This did last for about five minutes but when my daughter calmed down we had one of the unimpressed looking waitresses come over and tell us to be quiet as complaints had been made, to which astonished me as we hadn’t been there very long!
I then explained that my daughter has severe autism and asked if we could be sat somewhere further away from other people. The unimpressed waitress just disappeared after mumbling something about how she would try to do something about this.
At this point, after feeling humiliated and embarrassed, we had no option but to leave. So we gathered her birthday balloons and left.
As we were walking away, the unimpressed waitress or manager (if she is a manager, you most certainly have your work cut out there) had the audacity to ask why we were leaving!
I then went on to say that basically you’ve ruined my daughter’s birthday: she then went on to say that you could have sat outside, which I found flabbergasting as I’m sorry my daughter isn’t a dog!
My daughter has a hard enough life living with severe autism without having to face this kind of bias and prejudice from someone who is either uneducated in dealing with people with special needs and hidden disabilities or just simply doesn’t care! This shouldn’t be the case when all we wished for was a nice meal to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. Instead your staff ruined this occasion and has put us off going to restaurant‘s for the foreseeable future.
I also wanted to thank you, on behalf of my family, as we had to get a takeaway from Nando’s, which as it was a takeaway, we could not benefit from the government’s 50% off scheme, so in addition to the awful experience in your restaurant my daughter’s birthday meal ended up costing me even more money.
I await your speedy response in this utterly disgusting matter!
