I’ve been to the Fern a number of times, both drive through and carry out. I’ve always been pleased, but today was abysmal. I ordered the Manhattan with the meatloaf (since that is what they tote as being famous for). It was quite awful. The mashed potatoes were crunchy - either had been sitting out all day or were poorly mixed box potatoes. The gravy was clumpy, again either not totally mixed or sitting out all day. The meatloaf was not as good as I remember, certainly not what I have come to appreciate when I order a sandwich. My daughter got a $5 side of some special Mac n cheese and the portion was pathetic. She is 8 and never finishes her plate but she finished this and was still hungry. The small handled bowl was less than half full. All in all the food was a very poor value. Additionally, we made the mistake of (unknowingly) going on music bingo night. It was not our jam (pun intended). The music was far too loud for the speaker and the size of the venue - and the song list seemed to be on repeat. The service was fine - nothing notable either way. There are enough decent places with beers in Findlay that this one doesn’t need to make the list anymore. Price per person: $10–20 Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 1

The fern is a consistent light hearted atmosphere. People are always laughing and socializing there. Everything I've had on the menu has been satisfactory from their delicious bloody Mary specialty to their cheese curds to the Greek salad. The waitresses are friendly and attentive even during their busiest hours. I always make a stop in there when I come into town. Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

It's a greasy spoon/bar kind of place. The food is tasty and the service was friendly. My nachos were delicious, and my partner's Philly met their demanding expectations. As long as you're not looking for a quiet sit-down meal, but good, fast food. Highly recommend! Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $20–30
