Fever is the best nightclub in Gloucester. Love the music, the cheap drinks and all the staff especially Alice was amazing. The door staff made me safe from start to finish. Love the themed nights that they do and it’s such a great vibe ! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

HAT/ NO hat policy.... what a complete and utter joke... my wife and i visited fever 28/2/26.security on the door politely informed me about the policy which I took on board completely understand due to security etc, with in 2 minutes of us being at the bar I noticed lots of visitors with very large hats on, so i put my (in comparison) very small flat cap back on, only to be told by the door security once again to remove it. On removal of my flat cap i noticed more visitors arriving with big cow boy/girl hats on.... so i put my flat cap back on, once again was approached and told to remove it.when I questioned the security about this i was told the very large cowboy/girl hats are fancy dress so that's fine. Then I asked the question about the chap sat talking to a security lady in front of everyone with a flat cap on the same as mine.when I challenged this with the young security lady talking to the flat capped chap i was surrounded by security. In my amazement I was told its ok he can wear his flat cap in the venue because he was the manager!!! The manager!!!! if he was the manager is he not supposed to be setting an example with the policy to all.... but what really made our evening special was on exit of venue the very same flat capped chap was laughing in our faces in front of all security winding us up. ONE RULE FOR ONE BUT NOT ALL. Never will we be attending fever again. Price per person: £30–40 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Hi Darren, We are disappointed to hear you had a bad experience in our venue. I would just like confirm a couple of things, we do have a no hat policy due to security purposes and dress code. The only exception to that rule is the 'fancy dress' items we provide as a venue. All hats provided by the venue for the enjoyment of guests meet security guidelines regarding CCTV coverage etc... I would also like to confirm that the male wearing the flat cap was not the manager as we also have a no hat policy for staff/ management. Fever has really gone downhill lately. It’s disappointing that when you request African music, the DJ says he can’t play it because “people will walk away.” That’s honestly shocking and unacceptable. This is supposed to be a club that welcomes different races and cultures, so why exclude African music? It’s even more upsetting that they closed the African club as well. Why? Diversity should be celebrated, especially in a place meant for everyone to enjoy themselves. Music brings people together, and no culture’s music should be treated like it doesn’t belong. Very disappointed with the direction this place is taking.

Hi Sasha, We are disappointed to hear you had a bad experience in our venue. We pride ourselves on being a diverse venue celebrating people from all cultures. Boutique is now back open on Saturday nights and was unfortunately shut for a period of time due to unforeseen circumstances. In terms of the DJ's, the DJ's do play music to fit a music policy. The 'Fever' room music policy is charts, pop and cheese. Boutiques music policy is R&B/ Urban. However the DJ's do take requests and try to play to the music taste of everyone in the room, however can not just stick to one genre that has been requested. The DJ working on the night did play some afrobeats as requested however has to play music for the other guests to enjoy too.
