(5/5 pints) Listen, I rolled into Fibber McGee's in Leederville like a man on a mission: feed the belly, lubricate the soul, and maybe channel my inner Irish bard. This place nails the classic Irish pub vibe — dark wood, that unmistakable whiff of good times and faint regret, and staff who look like they could pour a perfect pint in their sleep. I went straight for the fillet steak, and holy shamrocks, they cooked it perfectly. Juicy, tender, seasoned like it had a personal grudge against blandness. None of that "well-done hockey puck" nonsense some places try to pass off. It was the kind of steak that makes you whisper sweet nothings to your plate. Ten out of ten, would marry if it weren't already dead. Paired it with a pint of delicious Guinness. Proper velvety, chocolatey, with that creamy head that makes you feel like you're drinking a meal. The first sip hit like a warm hug from a friendly leprechaun. Then... I made a questionable life choice. I followed it up with a glass of Guinness Zero. Why? I don't know. Maybe I wanted to see if the universe had a sense of humour. It was like breaking up with your favourite lover and immediately dating their teetotal twin brother who only talks about spreadsheets. Same beautiful face, zero personality. The pint was a roaring party in my mouth; the Zero was that same party after everyone went home and the lights came on. Weird. Deeply, profoundly weird. But honestly? That's Fibber McGee's. They even cater to your mid-meal identity crisis. Want to get properly langered? They've got you. Want to pretend you're being responsible after one pint? Zero's got your back (and your liver). Atmosphere: 10/10. Price per person: $40–60

If you’re looking for a proper steak in Perth, Fibber McGees is the place to go. The steak was cooked perfectly, full of flavour, and you can really tell they use quality beef. The atmosphere has a great authentic Irish pub feel, and the staff were friendly and welcoming from start to finish. Definitely one of the best steaks I’ve had in Perth. I’ll definitely be back! Price per person: $60–80 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
