Nothing here really speaks to it being an "Irish" pub. Service was prompt, not exactly friendly but direct and to the point. Decor was more sports bar vibe. There were several tvs playing different sports on. No irish music or irish rock, contemprorary instead. The walls were covered in beer and other memorabilia. And nothing on the menu spoke to it being Irish really except that the appetizers mentioned "Sticky Guinnes Baby Back ribs" which we did not try and "Fish and Chips" which we also did not try, and the "Shepherd's Pie" which is later in my review. The L.I. Clams--4 largish looking pieces sided w lemon wedges-- were just about all breading... if there was a clam in there we didnt find them. The French Onion Soup was decent, a little sweet. Cheese was a little hard to break through to the soup. The red chilli came w somewhat stale tortilla chips and a side of sour cream--this isnt anywhere close to what red chilli is out west or even Texas--and the Shepherd's pie was practically the same chilli w little bits of mashed potatoes sparingly dolloped randomly across the top. In fact, i suppose that perhaps they were out of the Shepherds pie and thought i wouldnt notice if they substituted chilli and added frozen peas and carrots mixed in... except my father ordered the chilli and we could see it looked like the same mixture. The Roast Beef Double Dip special was explained as being a "French Dip w extra meat." It came on a brioche type hamburger bun and was soggy from having the Au Jus poured over it and sitting in the pool of juices. My brother had to eat it w a fork and knife bc there was no way to pick it up and eat it w how wet it was and the bread was so soft it just fell apart to mush. My oldest had the Sliced Steak Sandwich, which was good. It had nicely sliced steak, w a good ratio of steak to bread and other ingredients. Waffle fries were crisp. Off the kid's menu, my youngest had the Mac n Cheese. It was a big sized serving for a kid's dish, the mac n cheese was made w cavatappi and had a heavy bacon flavor in w the good amount of cheddar, a little grainy in texture. It came sided w a big pile of hot crispy thin fries. The caesar salad was nothing special, its a dish just to satisfy someone who isnt too hungry, doesnt want heavy fried or greasy food, or is vegetarian. The bar looked lively and it seems like a place that is a staple of the area w a lot of local support. Im pretty certain it is actually a nice place to go for a drink and to relax, have a pint and hang out w friends. I would probably enjoy it more if I went there w the expectation of having a beer and burger rather than of having Irish style Pub food. The burgers from the menu looked good. When i think of Irish Pubs i think of Irish rock, lots of beer, lively discussions over the soccer matches on the tv (aka the "Football" that the rest of the world calls that game) and plates of Corned Beef, Irish Beef Stew, Bangers and Mash etc. If ypu come expecting that, you will be disapointed. But if you'd like a beer, a burger, and to come hang out w friends im sure ypu wont be disapointed at all. Price per person: $20–30 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3

This place is a landmark in Huntington Village! Some of the best authentic Irish food you can find. But the real winner here is they have the best burgers in Huntington absolutely delicious juicy not greasy 8oz perfect size. Nobody realizes that you could actually go in there and get one of the best burgers on Long Island. They are reasonably priced and have awesome cottage fries to go with the burger, I definitely encourage you to try. This bar/restaurant always gives me vibes of old Hell’s Kitchen in NYC or an Irish “Cheers” where everybody knows your name... Checkered tables cloths, nice 80’s music softly playing in the background and amazing memorabilia on the walls the place is very clean as well. It’s a cozy take me back Vintage look..they decorated so beautiful for Christmas. I love it!! So many locals and an amazing bar. TVs all around with sports on. Our server Michael was gracious, super friendly came over more than he had too..making sure we were good while helping everyone else that came in. If you’re in the area or you’re going to the Paramount, looking for nice Irish bar food burgers not so fancy then this place is the place for you. They also have an awesome shepherds pie, French onion, soup, fish, and chips steak sandwiches Rueben’s great appetizers too . Check them out you won’t regret it! A+++++++++++++++++++++ Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Burgers, Guinness Pot Roast, Shepherd's Pie, Finnegan Burger, Spinach Artichoke Dip, Finnegan's Burger and Fries, Baby Back Ribs, Slider
