I have only ever done takeout from Fireside but have always been so impressed! Their portions are so good for the price, definitely great value! Service: Takeaway Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Recommended dishes: Chicken Souvlaki, Chicken Souvlaki Dinner, Greek Salad

I was in a rush, couldn’t write the full review, but here it is: Ordered the poutine, large, but the salt in it was immense and over powering, could feel the salt in the back of my throat. However, the service was good. I asked the server about the saltiness, she just told me that it’s how they’re made. I said ok and she walked away without offering solutions then asked if I can at least get some more water. Later, I asked the server to if it’s possible for them to switch it for me, and she came back with another bowl of small poutine, because I ate some of it. I said that’s fine, I tried it and it was still way too salty. May be it’s the gravy? Appreciate that they only charged me once though. I can understand that restaurants don’t like taking back orders but if a customer genuinely has a concern, I feel like it should be addressed. Maybe I was expecting a “not a problem” kind of a response, instead of a “well, that’s how it is” or “no one has complained about it” Good place though and I will be back another time for sure. Ahmed/Adam, This is extremely unfortunate that not only did you leave this review but that the service score was low. We tried to rectify this situation. From the initial check in you expressed that you felt the fries were burnt, when we asked the other customer who had the same fries they did not agree. Then it was not enough cheese, you wanted more without charge. After than a different server checked in and you mentioned the salt. When asked what you would like us to do she offered to remake another poutine with a fresh fry bowl with absolutely no salt and you just put it in a takeout container without even trying it but persisted to tell me it was still too salty. And still you weren’t satisfied. We did what we could in hopes to change the situation. But sometimes I guess you just can’t win.

We were craving Gyros and Greek salads & decided to try out The Fireside Restaurant in Welland. While the restaurant is a bit outdated their food was fantastic! We would definitely recommend trying this place out! We’d previously used “Skip the dishes” for take out, but decided to go to the restaurant this time. Excellent food and service.
