The Firkin’s true strength is booze: large sizes, good prices, and a nice selection of beer, cider, and mixed drinks. The food is pub-themed and might need a bit of an upgrade (don’t get the birria), but it does its job. The music is mostly classic rock and it’s not too loud to have a conversation. The decor is a bit challenged—not a pub, not a sports bar, not a diner and yet parts of all three. The service was superb. Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3 Price per person: CA$40–50 Parking space: Somewhat difficult to find parking Parking options: Paid street parking
