Used to be such a beautiful little cafe / bakery but they are never open at all. It is more of a surprise to walk past and actually find them open. Which is maybe once every 5 months. I presume they have shut down as they dont even bother putting 'emergency' on their Instagram anymore, they just dont bother with anything. Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

If you’re in Garston and haven’t visited FIVE CAKES, you’re seriously missing out. This gem of a café is hands down one of the best spots I’ve ever had the pleasure of discovering. From the moment you step through the door, you’re welcomed with a warm, friendly atmosphere that instantly feels like home. The owners and staff go above and beyond to make you feel special, and they’re so genuinely chatty and welcoming—it’s like catching up with old friends every time you visit. Now, let’s talk about the main event—the cake! I had the Boston Cream Pie, and let me tell you, it was the BEST I’ve ever had in my life. The perfect balance of rich, creamy filling and soft, delicate cake—it was pure heaven in every bite. And it’s not just the Boston Cream Pie; every single cake I’ve tried here has been nothing short of extraordinary. You can tell they use only the finest ingredients and put a ton of love into each one. They also offer a variety of alternative milk options, so if you’re dairy-free, vegan, or just in the mood for something different, you’re covered. Their coffee is just as amazing as the cakes—smooth, rich, and brewed to perfection. Every cup feels like a little slice of heaven! Another huge plus? They’re dog-friendly, so you can bring your furry friend along while you sip your coffee and indulge in the most delicious treats.
