Not bad, but not great Coffee took 20-25mins to come out and food 30mins from ordering Food looked pretty good, tasted ok. Plates a nightmare to use with knife and fork. I had Grand breakfast plus hash brown, hash brown was hot but oily, not really a $4.50 hash brown. Mushrooms were tasty, bacon average rest ok. Ham, cheese and tomato toastie was ok, a bit greasy. Side room is loud with only a few people in it! Overall was average and slow. Probably won’t bother again for food. Food: 3 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2

From the moment you walk into Five Sparrows, you can feel the warmth and charm of the place. It has a real community feel, and you can tell the staff genuinely care about creating a welcoming experience for everyone. The coffee is exceptional — smooth, rich, and clearly made with a lot of care. You can tell they know their beans and take pride in every cup. The food is just as impressive. The menu offers a great mix of classic favourites and creative options with a modern twist. I had the smashed avo with poached eggs and some added chorizo — everything was fresh, beautifully plated, and bursting with flavour. What really sets Five Sparrows apart is the service. The team is friendly, attentive, and passionate about what they do. They’re always happy to have a chat, make recommendations, or accommodate dietary needs without fuss. Whether you're a local or just passing through Berwick, Five Sparrows is absolutely worth a visit. It's the kind of café you find yourself coming back to again and again. Highly recommended!
