Appetizer and main course came at the same time. Food was good. Mac and cheese had real cheese. Turnip greens were good, flavoring was not over the top. Pork chops were tender. Fried devil eggs were ok (cold by the time we got them). Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20

My first visit to Fixins Soul Kitchen was absolutely incredible, and it definitely won't be my last! From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed. Lauren, my bartender, was outstanding. She was friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, and made the entire experience even more enjoyable. Exceptional customer service like hers is hard to find, and she deserves to be recognized. I ordered the dark fried chicken with mac and cheese, collard greens, candied yams, cornbread, a blue raspberry margarita, and finished with the peach cobbler. Every single bite was delicious. The chicken was perfectly seasoned, the sides were packed with flavor, and the peach cobbler was the perfect ending to an amazing meal. The portions were incredibly generous, so I even have leftovers for tomorrow, which made the value even better. As a veteran, I also sincerely appreciate the military discount. Thank you for honoring those who have served. If you're looking for authentic soul food, amazing hospitality, generous portions, and a place that truly makes you feel welcome, I highly recommend Fixins Soul Kitchen.
