Wheelhouse is probably your best bet for food at Rivers Casino. The food is pretty good, we liked the appetizers the best and just get drinks. My Asian chicken sandwich I had this time was bland but the pretzel was good and the rest of the apps are good too. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Consistently good food and drinks! Great happy hour specials on weekdays. The Black Jack Chicken, Rivers Club and Wedding Soup are a few of my favorite menu items. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We came here during a relatively busy time, but what stood out immediately was the complete mismatch between staff and service. There appeared to be plenty of food runners on the floor, yet only one waitress handling the entire restaurant. Because of that, service was painfully slow—something I can understand given the situation, but it set the tone. The real issue was the food. I ordered a medium filet and my guest ordered a medium burger. What arrived was unacceptable. The filet was charred on the outside and completely gray inside. Not even close and after well over an hour waiting for food I gave up. To their credit, they removed the steak from the bill when I sent it back, but at that point I had zero confidence in the kitchen and declined a remake. For the prices and the expectations this place sets, the execution is shockingly poor. Save your time and money—you’ll honestly have better luck at the Taco Bell down the street.
