We had lunch here after a walk. My partner had a trout dish, I had a meat dish and finally a dessert for both of us. The food was perfectly prepared and we both enjoyed it extremely well. The portions were also completely sufficient. Although the prices were on the higher side, they were quite reasonable considering the quality of the food. Also worth highlighting is the extremely competent, attentive and friendly service of the lady who served us. In this respect, 5 stars would undoubtedly be appropriate if the restaurant had not made a completely inappropriate and unnecessary lapse. As a Swabian and therefore a lover of plenty of sauce for roasting, I ordered some more. I was actually charged €1.90 for this little bowl of gravy. Nothing like this has ever happened to me anywhere in my countless visits to restaurants. I find this petty and shameful for the owner and he unfortunately has to accept a star deduction as a result. My stay at the Forellengasthof Waldeck was pleasant and relaxing. The single room was clean and comfortably furnished. The staff was friendly and helpful. Even though I was traveling alone, I felt like I was in good hands. The on-site restaurant offered delicious food, and the quiet surroundings contributed to a relaxing atmosphere.
