The reviews on this restaurant don't do it justice. We came on a Monday night around 9:30 pm and there was a 45 minute wait. The wait went by quickly and we snagged a table. I was impressed that the place was busy and lively even late at night. The decor was really pretty and the service was awesome. We tried the crispy tofu and the green beans. The crispy tofu was coated with five spice and sichuan peppercorn, heavy on the mala. Although not for everyone, I think this was prepared really well and was enjoyable to eat despite the numbingness. The green beans were fresh and tasty as well. 2 dishes were more than enough for 2 people, so I think this place ranks high in both taste and value. I would come back here again to try the other vegetarian dishes.

The ambience is great, and the server was super nice. I went on Friday night and the wait was not too long. Waited about 20 mins, but theres is a bar right next to it so it did not feel like any hassle. The food was great and the price is very reasonable considering the vibe.

Such a lovely dining experience here at Fortunate Son Chinese! I got the Iron Ranger drink from Polite Provisions and tried a few appetizers from Fortunate Son Chinese the Crab Rangoon, pork dumplings, and FS Egg Rolls. All really delicious! Can't wait to go back and try the rest of the menu!
