I discovered this gem of a cafe and dim sum purveyor through Google. Having moved from BC recently to AB, we knew that there would be Chinese foods available in Calgary. Having living in a small city in the Interior, the only time we ate authentic Chinese food was when we travelled to the Coast, and loaded up in restaurants, and the Chinatown dim sum frozen stores (for freezing and savoring when the craving for genuine Chinese food consumed us)!If you love Chinese food made to scrupulous standards at extremely reasonable prices then you need to eat in this family-run business.I've visited twice and tried dim sum: steamed bean curd rolls and Chinese sausage buns, shrimp and pork dumpling noodle soup and the egg tart and Chinese sesame round doughnut. If only I had had a friend both times I visited; we could've eaten more! I've also ordered takeout and the Beef Chow Funn, Singapore noodles, steamed chicken rice, and steamed black bean sparerib rice were so delicious and were generously made.Finally, I've bought a haul of dim sum for our freezer, and now when the urge hits to yum cha with the hubby, I can steam all my favorite dishes thanks to the expertise and convenience of Fortune Food Products. Please support Vivienne and her family; the community needs our hard-working small restauranteurs. You'll be supporting your local business, and your tastebuds and your stomach will be very happy that you chose to eat out "at home".
