I'm rarely motivated to leave a review but we happened upon this place for lunch and it was outstanding! I was so happy that the meal came with 3 sides because I couldn't choose. I ended up with 4 and every single one was unreal - perfectly seasoned, incredible recipes that you can tell have been made with effort and love. These folks take incredible pride in their food and it shows. Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I got the Whiting dinner with mac n cheese, cabbage, and yams. I also got a slice of BBQ meatloaf and let me tell you....it was all delicious. I will be back. It is some of the best soul food in Columbus. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Another disappointing experience. 1 star is overly generous for the experience. I've recently returned to my hometown, Columbus, and have to say the food scene and its customer experience across the city leave a lot to be desired. However, having lived in Baltimore for several years I was excited to try Columbus' version of the food markets. So my husband, a Baltimore native, and I ventured out to North and East market today for a little Sunday Funday. He was excited to try Frans Meat + Three, and placed an order at the kiosk for: 1) their special: 2-piece fish for $10; 2) meat + collards, Mac & cheese, & sweet potatoes, and 3) two wings (ticket 68, totaling $41.99). We meandered around the market for about 15 min, doing a full loop until we arrived again at Frans. When it was apparent after waiting 10 more minutes that this was going to be a WAIT wait, I left my husband to wait on our order while I went outside to work on the patio. 40 minutes later, after reading and responding to several messages...expecting that he would have met me outside by then, I head back in to find my husband STILL waiting for the order. In case you haven't been tracking with me, we're now at over an hour wait for what's essentially supposed to be a fast-casual food operation. My husband, who is not the lawyer in the family (and so naturally more conflict-avoidant than I), approaches the young man at the counter to just ask for a refund because it's clear that they'd missed preparing our order. Rather than demonstrating integrity, accountability, and professionalism by acknowledging the oversight and issuing the refund, the young man lies and says that he'd just pulled our meat loaf out of the oven (mind you my husband watched him serve at least three meatloafs to people who ordered AFTER us while waiting on our order..but again he didn't trip because he's a mild-mannered man) and that the entire order would be coming out shortly. Fast forward another 10 minutes, my husband goes back to ask about the order again...and now the young man is completely confused about the order and thinks we've ordered two meatloaf meals. My husband again asks for a refund and the young man claims the staff on site do not know how to issue refunds or print receipts, and proceeds to call the owner (whose name he said was Kris), and now wants us to wait on her to arrive to resolve the issue. It's a no for me. It was at this point I said that they can keep their likely equally garbage food and we'll be filing a complaint with our bank. I'm beyond annoyed because I lead operations for a living. I have led large-scale banking, political, and nonprofit operations across the country, and it's frankly unacceptable that an owner doesn't have the foresight in leadership to train her staff on the ESSENTIAL day-to-day operations of her business. And if the issue is that she can't trust them with the responsibility, then it's still a leadership failing in attracting and retaining the right calibre of talent. Cute concept, but the execution and customer service experience is TRASH. Leave it in the landfill, and search for better options.

Esther, Thank You for your feedback. It’s possible that we need to look at some of our processes and reevaluate. We are a small team of 6 but improvement can always be made. Your order was refunded as soon as we heard about the incident. Have a great day.
