This was an unexpected gem in the Rochester area. After seeing it on a TikTok visit, we knew we had to try it. They had a good variety of different fish options with good portion sizes. For $14, I got 2 large catfish filets and fries. It was hot, crispy, and perfectly seasoned. I could have easily visited again and again. The staff were also incredibly nice and friendly. There are places to sit inside but this is more of a takeout location. Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Fish

We wanted to try something new and it was a Friday so we went looking for a fish fry and found Fried Fish Shack. WOW! We had the daily special which was Swai and fries. The fish was breaded so my son was a bit hesitant as he prefers battered. Surprise! He loved it. It was flaky and delicious and the breading was perfect. I also ordered a side of hush puppies. At first I was underwealmed that you only get 5 little hushpuppies for the price, until I tasted them. Ok, I could have made a meal of them as they are some of the best hushpuppies I have ever had. The seasoning was awesome and stuck with you in a good way. Overall I am really happy we found this place! They have so many different types of fish we will have to go back and try them all as well as all of their sides. I certainly like the way they prepare them. Service is great too, very friendly.
