Fromagerie Lemaire is just a classic in the province of Quebec. When you travel on the highway from Montreal to Quebec city or either way, Lemaire is a must to go. Don't be discourage by the line-up which always seem long no matter what time of the day you go. You will never wait more than 10 to 15 minutes and that wait time is worth it. The menu features around 20 kinds of poutine and I still haven't taste a bad one. Their original poutine is one of the best, but my personal favorites are either the onion ring poutine or the smoked meat poutine. They don't have the most extravagant recipes. It's mostly fries, sauce, cheese curds and one extra ingredient if you want. But they might have the best sauce and the best cheese in the province. As I said, the service is very quick and don't froget to grab a bag of cheese curds for home when you leave.

Just heavenly. You gotta go and get some real fresh curds. Buy a massive bag while you're at it. Just awesome, wish places like these existed outside Quebec.

Tif anyone is travelling down to Quebec City or simply around the Sherbrooke I highly recommend you stop by this institution in Quebec. Delicious sauce and tons and when I mean tons of cheese I mean it!! Honestly I prefer the regular fries but if you like crispy this is the place. 12$ for a medium easy to share for two people. Just get there!
