Phenomenal dining experience the night before we began the Kumano Kodo. We decided to stop here after smelling the delicious grilled meat coming from this place and seeing a sign on door saying they welcome visitors from all over the world. Husband and wife duo were hilarious! Barely spoke English but we bonded over baseball and Fast Times at Ridgemont High using a translation app. The fried chicken thighs changed my life. We also ordered shrimp tempura, udon, sashimi, silk tofu and sukiyaki. Everything was delicious and huge portion sizes. 10/10 would definitely go back. Price per person: ¥1,000–2,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian options: Lots of tofu options
