A-OK folks. On a Sunday afternoon I decided to have the Catch of the day- Snapper Fish: Served upon a layer of risotto like rice and veggies. The snapper fish was flavorful and a nice texture. I think they use a very fresh fish- not fish that has been kept in the freezer for a week. You can definitely taste this. My husband had the wagyu steak. The steak was wide, but a very thin cut. He says it's just OK. So, I can't say anything more about that. The meal comes with a small cup of salad. If you want soup, it costs more. They have about 3 big sized long tables so its a good place to bring a group of people. They also have raw meats and fish that you can purchase by weight as well as spices and other food to cook at home. Give it a try!

I've become a big fan of Fusion Gourmet, located in Sheung Wan. Fusion Gourmet is a "fusion" of a high end marketplace and Italian restaurant. We went for lunch, a group of 13 colleagues, and everyone loved the decor. It has this homie, Italian feel to it, brightly lit with wood tables and chairs. Being a market, you can also purchase anything on the wall, meat and seafood as well. The lunch menu was simple, you order a main dish which comes with a salad and can add additional sides. I ordered the wagyu striploin steak (HKD188) at medium rare, an additional of fresh apple juice(+$10), soup of the day(+$35) and the napoleon dessert(+$30). I scanned the wine wall and chose a nice bottle of Chateau Marges Graves. They have all sorts of wine ranging from few hundred hkds to few thousands. Comparing the price (as this is suppose to be a market), i did find that the high end price of wines are on the very steep price though. We started with bread and butter (which is another addition of HKD40 for 6 slices). Very decent bread and butter but having to pay for bread where most places offer it for free is a bit strange. The steak came with a side salad and a bowl of mushroom creme soup. The salad was very good with all the ingredients fresh. The soup however was a disappointment. It had this weird taste and I had to offset it with salt and pepper. The steak itself was good but i'll order it rare next time as i felt medium rare was overcooked for my tastes (i mostly order rare but some colleagues wanted to try my steak). One of my colleagues ordered the chili pasta with scallop and wow... that was good pasta. Overall a good experiences but having to add all the extras made my meal come to $263 not counting the bottle of wine (they dont serve wine by glass) and little on the steep side for Sheung Wan. Although you dont have to add any other side, i wanted to splurge a little seeing how cute the place was. Service was fast and attentive and I'll be back because the food is actually quite decent. You can feel that they use quality ingredients and has a fun and open atmosphere.
