Not happy that it's card only. Many people not going in now due to that. We would like a choice. I dont want my card details spread about, nothing is 100% safe these days. Do you do loyalty cards? No I don't want an App either. Life's too short over 70. I use a card, but it's my choice where & when to use it. People carrying cash as WiFi fails etc.. I realise it's convenient for Gail's this way, but it's selfish & high & mighty. Not many places are card only. Shops keep a lot of cash in a box which cannot be opened, to stop thieves.. Have been looking at reviews, hmm, something seems to be looked at & improved here. Same boring standard replies to reviews. I've had some lovely staff & also absolutely appalling, surly, unfriendly ones, who should never be there. In Loughton too. Maybe they belong to family there & don't enjoy the work. Do they realise we're paying their wages!!!? The food looks great, but overpriced. Everywhere, prices have gone up. Seems the staff need a better interview & weed some out. A mystery shopper would help & take cash too. Vegetarian options: I haven't had soup in there lately, as not been in. But was disappointed to see 2 vegetarian soups, again no choice.. Very biased. Yes cut down meat, but so much vegetarian food isn't good. They did a great meaty goulash tomatoey soup/stew. The guys don’t have a clue about a coffee,I ordered long black they give me Americano and start arguing with me and trying to prove that this is the same,and this is their standard. It’s same if somebody ask in restaurant chicken and you bring them fish and told that by your standards it’s chicken.Ridiculous
