GameOn Bar + Arcade is such a fun, welcoming space, and honestly, the happy hour alone deserves applause. Cheap draft beer in DC is already rare, but finding it in a space that is this easygoing, energetic, and group-friendly feels like a small miracle. Huge shoutout to Casey, who was warm, accommodating, straightforward, and genuinely a pleasure to work with. Booking a larger group was incredibly easy, and that matters because trying to book group space in DC can be weirdly frustrating. I’ve had places, including Mission Group spots, advertise “free” space for groups, only for you to later find out that “free” actually means there is a food and drink minimum attached. I do not mind a minimum. I mind when it is not upfront, because then it feels less like hospitality and more like a bait-and-switch. GameOn was the opposite. They were clear, welcoming, and easy to coordinate with from start to finish. Our Sci-Fi book club met there, and the space was perfect for a group that wanted to hang out, talk, grab drinks, and enjoy the arcade/bar vibe without feeling crammed into a corner or treated like an inconvenience. Overall, GameOn has been welcoming, warm, accommodating, and just a pleasure to work with. We will absolutely be back. Price per person: $20–30 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The game and pinball selection was great. The Koopa Troopa was a good cocktail. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Price per person: $30–40 Recommendation for vegetarians: Would not recommend

GameOn bar+arcade is a really fun spot to hang out with friends, especially if you’re feeling nostalgic. They’ve got a solid lineup of classic arcade games that bring back all the childhood memories, plus a lively bar atmosphere that keeps the energy up throughout the night. The only downside is that it can feel a little pricey, especially considering most of the games are older classics. You can burn through credits pretty quickly. That said, the vibe is great, the space is well put together, and it’s definitely a good time if you’re looking for something different than the typical bar scene. Fun spot overall — just be ready to spend a bit if you plan on gaming for a while. Price per person: $70–80 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
