We were suggested to this place for brunch by some friends who said the prime rib was to die for, and we also saw they had massive spreads of seafood and sushi. It turns out, as of 2024, they have shifted their menu to only have a continental breakfast style buffet. This has yet to be mentioned on their website. The food was supremely mediocre, and the coffee was burnt and awful. The silverware and glasses were filthy and we never got replacements for the utensils and glasses they took. I did not bother trying anything after having a few bites of a dry as dust ham and some extremely greasy potatoes. The options all looked so bad that most folks in front of me would open lids, make a face at the food, and close the lids. My dining partner had a few nibbles of random items just to try things and they were all under seasoned or just seemed greasy or both. The wait staff all seemed miserable. I cannot say I blame them for it. This was apparently the hot spot to get brunch on the south side of Denver, and if the menu changed so dramatically it will definitely impact them as well. Now I am doubly upset that some dingus higher up or marketing moron not only ruined what was apparently an amazing experience for their guests, but also affected the money going into their employees pockets. Our meal was comped today because everything was so gross and below expectations and I imagine so many others had the same experience today. The manager even said that many guests today had similar issues and questions. If there was an option to increase the price and keep a similar, high end experience, go with that. LITERALLY NO ONE WANTS TO PAY FIFTY DOLLARS PER PERSON FOR MEDIOCRE HOTEL FOOD. Get that through your thick skull, whoever made these changes. This is literally how establishments fail. You are creating a lower priced bait to attract more guests in the short term using an established name associated with quality. What happens when that quality is no longer there and people stop associating the restaurant with quality? If we had seem pictures of the spread that was present today, we would not have even made a reservation. Anyone who sees the existing photos on Google or other review sites will be disappointed in the same way we are until all traces of that old menu are erased. This place is usually booked up a week in advance or so. Came here for the "infamous" Sunday brunch. Found a few reservations after they had made some adjustments to the menu, and the pricing. Apparently they used to have crab legs. Anyways, most of the food items were pretty good. The biscuits that come with the biscuits and gravy are rock hard. And a few of the items on display were cold. And the sausage was not cooked through. Other than that, overall, I'd say a pretty decent trip. There were a couple of instrumentalists that were playing pretty nice music, which was a nice touch.
