Merece la pena venir a este restaurante solo por sus sorprendentes ensaladas y su perfectamente elaborada sopa. El ambiente hogareño de 1/2 dienas permite a sus visitantes relajarse tras un duro día de trabajo. Las calificaciones tan altas de este lugar no hubieran sido posibles sin un afable personal. Perfect place for fast lunch, menu around 6-8€ with some variety. It's usually half empty so noise level is very low and easy to find a seat. Food is usually either kinda salty or kinda bland but nothing particularly worrying. Service speaks mainly russian/latvian, but their english is good enough for what you need. Price per person: €5–10 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

I entered 1/2 dienas with hopes high enough to touch the sky, only to be brought down to hell by a meal that could only aspire to mediocrity. The cold soup, bold enough to drown in vinegar, lost its battle with flavor, rendering the tomato juice as tasteless as if made out of cardboard. The plov seemed to have grand ambitions of seasoning excellence but ended up as a salt saga that could preserve itself for posterity. These dishes, priced as though they were culinary masterpieces, delivered an experience akin to a gastronomic ghost town. For the cost, I expected a feast that would dance on my palate, yet I was left with the aftertaste of regret. Next time, I'll save my wallet the grief and my taste buds the assault.
