I was super upset at first because I had scheduled a delivery for my food to arrive at 12pm since my lunch started at that time but for whatever reason, when I tried using uber to get the food, uber messed up the order speed because it kept looking for a driver to deliver my food. At one point it said my food would get here at 12:43 and that was highly disappointing since my lunch was already over & it said my order was cancelled. Then the restaurant called me & they initiated a full refund & even gave us 2 drinks for free for our inconvenience. They are down to earth at the restaurant. I loved the food!! IT IS NOW JULY. July 13th to be exact. I ordered hurricane chicken (my favorite) and this time, the chicken was too crusty, like burnt & it was too salty. I ate half the plate & trashed the rest. I don't know if I want to keep ordering. This is why I kept ordering because the food is the BOMB!!! but then there's days like these, where it makes you stop and wonder if the employee has been having a bad day and should instead receive a day off instead of serving whatever kind of presentable food this was. Not good. Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 2

Compared to the last time I ate here, today was a miss. Got the hurricane and garlic chicken and both were cold and chicken was not crunchy. It's almost like I got some old chicken that they tried to heat up and serve. If this was the first time eating here, it would have been my last. Probably won't be coming here again anytime soon. Meal type: Brunch Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

So many Hawaiian spots can feel heavy or thrown together, but everything here tastes like it was prepped with real care the same day – super clean flavors, bright colors, and you can tell they take pride in ingredients. The variety on the menu is also impressive. Whether you’re craving poke, plate lunches, or something a little more comfort-food style, there’s a ton to choose from without it feeling overwhelming. The poke dishes are the true stars here. Honestly, you can’t go wrong with anything that has poke in it. The fish is tender, never fishy, perfectly seasoned, and the toppings pair really well without overpowering it. It has that melt-in-your-mouth feel you only get when poke is genuinely fresh. On the heartier side, the loco moco is absolutely killer. Big portion, rich gravy, perfectly cooked egg, and a patty that actually has flavor. It’s one of those dishes that hits every comfort note but still somehow doesn’t leave you feeling weighed down. On top of the food, the staff here is genuinely friendly. Not the fake “scripted” type of friendly, but the kind where they actually seem happy you showed up and are excited to talk about the food. They’re quick, helpful with recommendations, and the overall vibe makes the whole experience even better. If you haven’t checked out Generations Kitchen yet, you’re seriously missing out.
