This place was recommended by someone who lives in Cary and I ordered my food online during lunch. I had no idea this store closed after lunch and reopened for dinner. I went to pick up my food around 2:30 thinking the store was still opened but the lunch hour was over so whatever was on the menu to get at a value priced ended at 2 pm and then the price goes to normal menu price. Nope! They closed their doors at 2 pm and reopen at 5 pm. Now I am upset. I just spent $32.60 and my heart was set on sushi. especially because I just had a baby and I have been longing for a good sushi roll. So I waited until 5 pm and I called the store around the time they reopened and asked the manager for a refund since I did not receive the food at the time I wanted it. Here's where the story flips into horror for me. He told he would not refund my money because I placed the order online and he waited until 2:20 for me to come get it...but nobody called me to come pick up my food, he only claims he "Waited" for me to get my food. I was floored when he told me he would not give me my money back. He argued with me and told me he can only give me a credit to come back again. I explained to him multiple times that I do not live here and it would not make sense to take a credit for a restaurant I am not even sure I want to eat at now. I put my husband on the phone and my husband compromised with him that since we cannot get the money back, to make us a fresh order of the food and we will come pick it up. My husband gets the food and the manager hands him a fresh order and the old order. Now mind you, We ordered sushi...my husband asked how long was the old order sitting out and the manager's response was "You can still eat it" WHAT!!!? You've got to be kidding me. Not only was he not giving me my money back, but he was trying to get a lawsuit for food poisoning! I have never been so upset about a service as much as this has upset me, I had to write a review and let everyone know. This is not the place you want to order from online. Maybe the service would've been better if it was dine in, but his customer service was absolutely horrible, he caused a disservice to me, had no integrity, does not know how to speak to customers, and he created an unnecessary dissatisfied FIRST TIME customer overall, and for that I would NEVER Recommend this place to anyone ever. I want to mention some of the points you made weren't true. First of all, the restaurant posts the business hours for a reason. Lunch hour is 11-2p.m. that means the store closes at 2 p.m. It's our courtesy to stay open …I want to mention some of the points you made weren't true. First of all, the restaurant posts the business hours for a reason. Lunch hour is 11-2p.m. that means the store closes at 2 p.m. It's our courtesy to stay open little after but doesn't mean that we have to stay open until whenever you show up. We still kindly stayed 20 additional minutes after we closed hoping you would get here. Secoondly, you ordered your food at 1:38p.m. and the online ordering system gave you a time stated the food is ready to be picked up at 1:53p.m. but you waited until 2:32p.m to get here. That's almost an hour from the time you ordered til the time you got here. If you cared about your sushi to stay "fresh" why would you waited almost an hour to pickup your food? Thirdly, you said we didn't let you know the hours of the store; you "thinking" the store will stay open until you get here. We tried to call the number you provided in the online system, but that was a number has been disconnected. How in the world can we communicate with you if you provided us a wrong number? We ALWAYS call the customers right before the store is getting ready to be closed to remind them to pickup their food. If you know the store is closing, at least give us a call and let us know that "I'm running behind and will be there soon or something" then we would have waited for you for that additional 10 minutes or so. Instead, you are trying to blame on us for all the mistates/problems that you made. Forthly, the main purpose of giving you the food you didn't pickup is to show you that we did made a new set of food and not using any of the left overs from the food you didn't pickup. Also, I told your husband "ONLY" if he wants the food since we can't take it back or resell it. We will just throw them away. Instead you said we are trying to food poison you. What can we say?! That comes to our last point, since we can't resell or take it back any of the food that's already been made. That's why I can't give you a refund. With our courtesy, we offered to give you store credit for future orders. But you refused and demanded a refund. Like I said with our policy, we can only offer you store credit. As you said we "compromised" with your husband, we remade the food thought that would solve the problems and you were okay with it. But you still have to write a bad review blaming on us for all the problems that you created, and we have to pay for the mistakes that you made. These could have easily be avoided if you did one of the three things: come in pickup your food in a timely manner, leaving a valid phone number where we can reach you, or you call us ahead of time and tell us you were running behind. But sadly none of these has been done.More
